Just had the Paramount performance super sport straight pipe exhaust installed on my 09 xf sc and the sound damages your soul!!! What would be the best next upgrade? Pulley, intake kit, tune? Also are any of the plug and play performance chips on eBay for real? Thanks for the advice have a great weekend.

 

Absolutely, 100% NO. DO NOT buy and fit any of them to your car. At best, you'll see no difference, but more likely it'll just throw a CEL.

 

pulley and tune will give you the biggest results.

 

Well you have the 4.2L which is not as good as the 5.0L to modify.

When I had my 2005 STR with the 4.2L SC I looked very closely at getting a pulley and tune, plus don't forget porting the blower but you just don't get much for your money. So I did a bit to the exhaust and left the rest alone.

When I got the 2014 XJR I had it tuned within 4 months of buying the car. DI engines get a lot with just a tune.
