Default One sick Jag!!! HELP

Hi everyone! As the title suggests, I have a very unwell 2012 XF 3.0 V6 D Portfolio at the moment!

The shot story is that I have no heating (only blowing cold air) vents aren't rotating form closed to open or vise versa, zone selection damper isn't rotating.

I have had the car to a jaguar dealer for diagnostics and basically they advised me that there is a cable break in bus B - Error code B1088-8. They advised me that their minimum starting cost for the repair was going to be £6500....

Has anyone ever had experience with this or similar?

Any advice is greatly greatly appreciated! As you can all understand, I love my Jag but the thought of it costing at least £6500 to repair a broken cable is heart breaking..

Regards,

Phil

I wonder how that cable broke in the first place... if you have all maintenance records (and better if have history with a jaguar dealer maintenance) you can try to talk to Jaguar Land Rover to see what they can do.

You need a second opinion from a qualified indie.

As well as getting a second opinion I recommend you head on over to the Pommy forum where the XF 3.0D is common and I vaguely recall some posts about a similar problem: https://www.jaginfo.org/forum.php
