Ok , I have a 2013 Jaguar xf with the 2.0 turbo. I was driving home yesterday had to drive through a 3-4 inch water covering road for no more than maybe 5 feet. ( this may be irrevalent) about a mile later my car started to lose power and i limped another mile to my house.
When i got home i started it again and it said restricted performance and sounded like it was missing. I also noticed some white smoke from the exhaust and a little from under the hood. I let it set for a while and tried it again. It takes a little longer to start but it does start but still same symptoms as before. I attached a screen shot of some of the codes it gave .

Do not operate the engine if the MIL is flashing as catalyst damage is occurring.

Leave the bonnet open so the engine compartment is able to dry.

Remove the spark plugs and look at their condition. Remove the air filter and see if water has been drawn into the engine.
