When you replace a battery you will need to reset the BMS or else the car will not know a new battery has been fitted!
The BMS will eventually do a self-reset & the charging rate will adapt to the new battery!

Definitely sounds like low battery. But BMS reset prob not going to fix that. You need to charge battery.
Measure battery voltage with engine off - what does it measure? You need to fully charge up the battery with a charger or on a long drive. And then test to ensure the alternator is working to keep it charged once running

You are 'technically' meant to reset bms but it will catch up by itself and I've never reset it myself in 10 years and a few battery changes and not had any issues

Some basic info on BMS here

http://www.londonroadgarage.com/imag...monitoring.pdf

You need a code reader tool with Jag specific functionality to reset it. I have the icarsoft LRII and I've read that it does BMS reset (I've never bothered - it recalibrates itself over time anyway)
