Default Problem logging into TOPix

I am thinking about picking up another one of the XF's because I love them so much.

When I bought my first one a couple of years ago, I used the TOPix website to check out things like options and in-service date.

But when I tried just now, I got this error:

"User access not possible, please contact the helpdesk for assistance."

I tried re-registering, and it let me go through the registration and confirm it with email link, and then gave me the same message when trying to log in.

Is anyone else having that problem?

The TOPIx login screen has changed in the last few months:

Without a login, the only sections available without payment are Owner's Information and Accessory Fitting:

Even with a login, only notices (the column in red on the right) are available without subscription credits:

The system is aimed at JLR Staff and Dealers. It used to be possible for anyone to purchase full use by the hour, day, week, month or year but I can't find the current charges.

Interesting. Access needs to be available under various laws, I believe. So probably is, though the cost is daft for any but a regular jag tech.

They'll probably wonder why someone rips it off then offers it cheaply but gee it's not hard to figure out why!!

Usually access under Freed of Information is wider in the USA but with TOPIx it works in favour of the EU:

Before buying programming subscriptions
Independent Module Programming is only supported within the EU. This gives access to all non-security modules. Any subscriptions purchased outside of the EU will not be supported by Jaguar Land Rover.

I'd read on the forum that some of the USA Indy's were having problems getting JLR module information.

Thanks for the replies.

So without TOPix, is there a way to find out the in-service date of a jag based on the VIN without calling a dealer? That and the breakdown of options on the car is all that I was hoping to find.
