How is the performance with that diesel?... I mean compared to a V8 say..have you had a chance to compare?...I'm just curious, as I do love the diesel engine..

Hi DPK and thanks for your interest,
I'm very lucky as one of my brothers has a XKR supercharged V8.
When he had a drive of the XF "just to see", set to dynamic mode and paddle shift of he set shouting "@@@~~~###!!!!!$$$//" followed by a very big smile.
He honestly could not believe the acceleration from the diesel engine, but it is a twin turbo!
I had my turn in the XKR and found the biggest difference was the noise inside the cabin from the engine was massive but was there a massive difference in power? all I can say is my brother with the XKR was very very impressed with his little brothers diesel XF!!

The 3.0 v6 diesel is available in 2 power levels. The higher 275hp 600nm version does 60 in 5.9 seconds and is limited to 155mph. Not bad for an oil burner....
