Well, this engine bay does seem to be particularly prone to heatsoak, and when I'm idling in traffic (or even just driving) my metal intake pipes get HOT.

Carbon fiber is much better at insulating the air flowing through the pipe from the engine bay temperature. This is why Formula One and some of the high-end supercars use CF intake chambers.

I wonder if this pipe from Mina will fit the V6 XE model since they appear to be the same? I would set hot or wrap the pipe since so much heat is right there.

I'm probably going to buy the Mina intake as soon as more are ready. If you want it, I'll ship you my TCP intake for free.
