Well, thinking this over...the only sticking point was the color/interior combo. Price was right, trim level right, elapsed mileage was good...warranty and such was nice, but just can't get my head around driving a black on black car. Just doesn't do it for me, and in the end, if I'm going to spend the $$$ and step up into a later model Jag...well, the visual image has to match (for me) the technology and engineering.

So, the salesman understood and will keep his eye out for one in BRG or Claret. Same trim level. Looking around the same price. They are out there, and lots of folks have been coming off lease and buying their wives or girlfriends (or both) cars for Christmas, it seems.

The quest goes on.

 

Best time of year to buy a car is in January. Dealers can't sell a car in January to save their lives because of what you just mentioned. I got $13K off on my new 2011 XF in January.
