Question Improved performance question

Is there a Jaguar certified part/chip that will increase horsepower and torque for a 2010 XF non supercharged V-8 that a dealer can install?

Dealer wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole!

What you want is a tune. Any "chip" that you buy will only add imaginary horsepower and possibly damage the vehicle, and like higeorge said, no dealer will touch it. You want a reputable tuner that has Jaguar experience who will tune the car both on a dyno and on the street to ensure a safe and optimal tune, expect to pay between $500-1000 depending on where you go, and the sucky part is that since you are n/a with no other modifications you may gain 5-10hp.

You are better off just doing a Mina exhaust (the extra noise will make you feel faster) and leave it alone after that. If you really want it noticeably faster you need to trade her in for a supercharged XF.

It's very difficult to get significant performance increases from naturally aspirated engines without MAJOR modification. Those of us with blown engines benefit much more from ECU tuning than the NA crowd.

No and highly unlikely there ever will be. It's not what Jaguar or their dealers do. But they would sell you an SC car and probably take yours in part-ex.

Also, on the NA you'll have very few choices at all as any tuners would head for the SC.

NOS is potentially risky but also may be an option.

I give up.....on the Q&A I think it is well stated by other senior forum members that you cannot improve the performance of the NA v8

Sure you can, it's just the cost per HP would not make sense. You could do full exhaust, TCP intake, ECU tune, bore your throttle body, ect.... But the money spent you would probably gain maybe 35-40hp. People with NA cars mod all the time. It's just cars that have forced induction benefit more. The cost for above would run about $3k, so that's about 13hp for every thousand spent.

Quite. May as well sell the NA and buy the SC version.
