Default Track Rod End Dust boot

Apart from hearing a humming noise when the steering wheel was turned to the left, the cause (rear left tie-rod boot was wear-off) was confirmed after the car was jack-up for an alignment work.

Do any fellow members know the A and B size of the track rod end (Part no. C2Z5517)?

Appreciate your advises because I am struggling to correctly purchase the replacement boots for my XF 3.0 V6 Petrol model.

Regards

Nicholas,

This isn't getting any response in Suspension & Handling section so I've moved it to XF/XFR section for you. Members here with the same model should be able to help.

Many thanks to you, Graham. Appreciated.
I think most of our fellow buddies will simply change the entire tie-rod kit than taking the trouble to replace the part.

I would recommend replacing it as well. If the boot is bad generally the ball joint isn't too far behind. Probably a difference of a $20 part versus a $100 part.

Yes caviarjag, I am considering that option too but what's going amiss is the fun in procuring the correct parts and eventually participating in the hands-on to replace it.

Will furnish the specification to complete the thread once acquire the new part.
