Default Upgrading infotainment system to 2012+ HDD based system

I’ve been scouring the web with no luck. I’m looking to find a way to upgrade the infotainment system on my 2009 XF to the newer, hard drive based version in the 2012+ models. I’m wondering if it is as simple as swapping out the navigation control module (located in the trunk – left hand side) or is it much more complicated that this? To be honest I can’t even locate the new HDD navigation control module on the internet, only the dvd based 2009-2011 control module.
Does anyone have experience with upgrading the infotainment system on these XF’s? Please feel free to chime in. Thanks.

The techs on the forum say it isn't possible. Supposedly all the wiring behind the dash is different. I'd love to see someone prove that wrong though. We will probably have to wait until someone can find a totaled 2012+ in a salvage yard which can be picked through.

Thanks for the reply. I sort of expected it wouldn't be as simple as swapping out the control module. Ah well.
