AJ133 SC (XFR, 2014). Just about to wrap up an SC coupler and SC oil service plus plugs plus a thorough cooling system aftermarket plastics and hoses replacement project. Whoever said this is a big job meant it, but I can see the promised land.
Three questions: (1) A couple hours from fill-and-start, and, Doh, I broke this thingy:
It plugs into the water pump at the place marked below. What is this for? Seems like the weakest thing on the car. It plugs into a receiver/"basket" that came with the water pump. I destroyed the basket, too, trying to get it all out of there. Any idea of the part numbers? Better yet, any ideas about how to DIY-robustify this thing?
Question 2: See that white barbed connector in the middle of the image above? What does that mate to? Can't find a marriageable partner for it anywhere.
Question 3, similar. This 3-wire connector sports green-brown, green-white, and blue wires, and is finished in Canary Racing Yellow which makes this XFR go faster, I'm quite sure. But, what's this go to? I'm all out of places to plug things in! Or else I'm blind as well as foolish (could be actually). And, yes, I see that its keeper is broken. Shucks.
I think my personal documentation of the teardown was lacking [sigh]. I'm new at this, like a 2025 AI chatbot. I appreciate any/all help to keep me from regretting my Life Choices overmuch.
The plug you're referring to is for the manifold absolute pressure sensor on the supercharger snout next to the breather hose fitting.
Ah, Thank You! I have a new [rebuilt] snout, I neglected I needed to transfer the MAP sensor over. This is where being visual would be a big help, but I'm all words and no pictures.
Now, If I can figure out that little barbed connector I think I'm out of the weeds.
No cap. If you look at it the nipple is blanked off inside and has no hole. It's from a modification Jaguar did early on to the cooling system.
It has raised a lot of questions over the years too!
