Default Wind noise -despite service bulletin done

My May reg. 2008 suffers (or rather I do ....) from wind noise from the formost area of the front door glass, both sides but more from driver's door than passenger side. The service bulletin including a new lower window seal (whole trim including seal) and a new rubber seal sitting between door frame and mirror plinth was carried out a few years ago. But wind noise persists. I gave up on it then but now I want to have another go at it. The window trim piece was slightly different from original in cut outs, but the seal between frame and mirror plinth was indistinguishable from the original. The noise starts around 60mph and becomes irritating around 70mph. When I press my fingers in between the inside of the glass and the inside (frame) seal so as to push glass slightly out the noise is reduced.

Has anybody had full success in noise reduction when carrying out this service bulletin? Does anybody know if the seal between frame and mirror plinth should be different from original?

I get a whistling sound when the window is down and driving at most any speed above 25..I assume it's something to do with my outside mirror.

I have that problem too, but it's not noticeable enough to do anything about it.

The OP can test that theory by lowering the window and putting a hand in the area between the mirror and the body of the car to disrupt the flow of air. My whistling stops immediately when I do that.
