Hi everyone I’m new here just trying to find some info out and get some help!
I need to replace both my side mirrors but I can’t for the life of me find any with the same adapter that’s on my wiring system 😡 pic to follow, they are from a 2012 XFS.
I’ve tried researching the part number almost on every part and wing mirror website and found nothing. Haven’t bothered with a dealership yet, but might have to take that route
Sorry for the lack of help but a part number would be a good first step.
This is the kind of problem that lead me to install JPART and JEPC so I can search on my own.
If your interested here is JPART. Free to use and install and again a BIG thank you to Steve for doing the work. JPART to use JEPC
Here is a thread where I have been uploading JEPC. The download links are just temporary and you can see I have uploaded the files a number of times. JEPC Download
If you plan to DIY stuff you need the following;
JEPC-Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog-This is exactly the same software the Jaguar dealers use to look up parts. By now they probably have a newer version but for a 2012 you will have everything. Problem is Flash player has been removed by just about every company at this point. Without Flash JEPC does not show any diagrams so now it's worthless! Steve built some software to use the JEPC software without the need for Flash Player anymore. Works 100%!
JTIS-Jaguar Technical Information Services- This is the shop manual and be aware they are just terrible. Huge amounts of useless safety information repeated hundreds of times. Mainly pictures and diagrams without any coherent explanation's so be prepared to be disappointed! But that's where this forum comes in so strongly. Many past and current DIY guys that have done the work and posted threads about it. Problem is JTIS died back around the 2004 model year so you will need one of the later manuals. You can find a service disc on EBay or floating around on the internet. I have several and they are HUGE!
Here are some listings for workshop manuals and watch out as a large number of them are for the Diesel versions only. That won't be a problem for you and this mirror issue but the drive train stuff won't be in there unless it says it does. I do see some gas versions too. Cheap and worthwhile to get.
