Has anyone done an Oil Catch Can yet?

Got this information from another forum. The best way to set up a catch can is actually to use 2 of them, one for the breather side and one for the pcv side. This way, the original routing of the pcv system is intact but catches oil from both sides while allowing the manifold to draw out these crankcase pressures. A company in the USA called saikou michi make a dual can and can custom make them for your application.

Several guys on the S Type forum have installed them on the 4.2L SC engine. Have not seen any benefit. Yes you catch some oil so the intake tract stays cleaner and you don't put oily junk into the intercoolers.
So I think it's a positive but just has a very small effect.

Sorry, I can't. But with turbo and supercharged engines it's very common. I guess there is no data relating to Jaguar cause usually they are not tampered with mods and upgrades.
Most people just buy a Jaguar and drive it. But now since jaguar is starting to get some aftermarket support for performance, things might start to arise. It can't hurt and there is a benefit to a catch can, I will post a video when I get home.

And yes, there are many Jaguar owners who have used Seafoam to correct this problem. I have seen cars lose as much as 80hp do to carbon deposits. So it would not hurt to add a catch can. It would be preventive maintenance. And all engines love to be clean.

Ahhh- Seafoam!
This magical fluid is composed of 50% light mineral oil, 25% naptha and 25% rubbing alcohol. Nothing more. Go look up the MSDS sheets.
This product cannot remove heavy baked on carbon deposits by trickling it down the intake. Not even extended soaking would have much effect.
Again- I'm asking for evidence ON JAGUARS of such contamination.

Just because you have not heard of it dose not mean it dose not happen. My experience is a catch can is needed, your experience is a catch can is not, so you do you and I'll defer from trying to prove to you that a catch can is needed.

Even though the oil is supposed to be there doesn't mean I like it there.

There might not be much evidence on 5L Jaguars because the 5L isn't old enough yet. Here are some threads on the topic. Some posts site issues and others say they haven't noticed issues. You've posted in both threads though so you should know about them:

Correct. If you read through those threads, there is no evidence of any issue that would cause the sort of problems that the OP is predicting.
