Default XF Windshield Wipers Run Constantly

wipers work constantly and won't turn off until I apply the brakes. Then start back when car is in drive and won't stop even when I turn the switch off.

Welcome SDEDIVA, we understand you have an issue, but we also would like you to introduce yourself and your Jag in the New Members Area... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/
Next, let's get you into the correct forum first...this is the X308 one. I'll chase down a mod for ya.

Hi SDEDIVA,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

I have moved your post from the forum for the X308 to the forum for the X250, which is the Jaguar factory project code for the XFs from 2007 to 2015. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars. I have also retitled your post to more accurately reflect your issue. Let us know if your car is newer than 2015 and I'll move your thread to the forum for the X260.

As Highhorse mentioned, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.

Also, please use your User Control Panel (see the User CP link above) to edit your signature and add the year, model and engine details so others won't have to ask in order to give you accurate replies to your inquiries.

Regarding your wiper issue, my first suspects would be the wiper switch itself, one of the two wiper relays (in the engine bay junction-box), a problem with the rain sensor or its wiring, a problem with the wiper motor wiring or park switch, or a short somewhere in the wiring. You can download the Electrical Guide here:

Jaguar XF Electrical Guide 2012

Cheers,

Don
