Default DPF won't regenerate and other problems!

Hello all,

I hope somebody can help me out there. My DPF doesn't seem to be regenerating, It's been on for a month now and in that time I've probably done about 80 miles along the motorway to clear it, driving in sport
manual manual
mode so that the revs are as high as safely possible. On the last journey the EML came on.
I've runa diagnostic which flags up
  • P2463-00 DPF restriction - soot accumulation - bank 1.
  • P00BD-07 Mass or volume air flow A circuit range / performance - air flow too high.
  • P2269-68 Water in fuel condition.
  • P2459-65
    Diesel Diesel
    particualte filter regeneration frequency.

All are intermittent codes with the exception of the first on which is permanent. The water in the fuel has been around since Xmas, I suspect it's a
sensor sensor
but I haven't had the time to check it out until today

I'm getting really concerned about the car now so I hope somebody can help me?

Cheers
Alan.

Be very careful to check the engine oil does not have any diesel in it as that is a known side-effect and can easily destroy the engine!

If it does have diesel in it, do a full oil change immediately, without any more driving.

There are places that will sort out the DPF regen with specialist equipment - may be the safest next step.

Thanks Jag,
The oil was changed in October when it was last serviced, how do I check the oil given that there's no dipstick?

Latest update:- I've replaced the fuel filter and cleared the code which seems to have resolved this issue. I've removed the MAF along with the air box etc blew out the sensors and grilles (which weren't particularly dirty), reassembled and cleared the code which seems to have resolved this problem. Took the car on a sixty mile blast along the motorway, 70mph in 4th gear sport mode to keep the revs up to 3200rpm but the problem is still there. I guess it's going to have to be professionally cleaned unless somebody has any other advice for me?

Nearly everyone has gas (petrol) cars.

Also, of course, you posted in the wrong forum and leaving out your car details (until prompted) won't have helped.

Maybe someone will move it.
