Default ABS Pump Controller Compatibility

I have the common ABS/TRAC/Stability failure and my handy-dandy new Autel MD802 confirms it's the pump controller circuit. Can anyone tell me which years of the X308 have a compatible circuit? I'd like to try and junkyard one so I can futz around with one without incapacitating my car while I do it.

Car is an '03 XJR.

Much thanks!

Soldering the pins is such a minor operation that it's hardly worth buying a used unit, which you may find very expensive.
It is necessary to match the numbers if you want to avoid error messages, and there have been members who had to have a dealer refresh.

ALL 2003 4.0 Sedans use the JLM21323 ABS control module.
C1095 is the common fault and as RJ237 stated, re-soldering the power pins is probably the best cost effective repair for this fault.

Yeah, it's C1095.

Is that controller unique to 2003, or do other years use it as well?

I am good at soldering and understand the nature of the repair (I've done it on Saabs and Audis), but the peace of mind that comes with knowing the car will not be incapacitated by an unforeseen circumstance is worth the few bucks this part will cost me. Worst case, I end up with a spare. I'm really just trying to find the range of cars I can pick from.

Thanks!

I have posted all the MY and ABS module listings for the XJ/XK 4.0 compatibility several weeks ago. I can't re-type the list over and over.

The module you need can be obtained from 2000-2003 XJ sedans or 2000-2002 XK8/R
Earlier cars have different part numbers and configurations (ie. trac control or without).

I don't remember if the JLM21323 is used on MY cars with 4.2 engines???

P.S. the number on the module itself is NOT the Jaguar part number.

Jaguar part number for your 2003 XJ ABS Modulator Control Module is JLM21323 (number on ABS Module case is LNC2210AD) - ABS Electronic Control Unit With Traction Control | Nine Valves

Here is a weblink to current Ebay listing for that unit:

I created this JPEG that has the Parts Listing for ABS Module with Traction Control & without Traction Control:

Also Look at the forum post (# 11) in the Repairing the Module thread:

That's tremendous - thanks!

I may be buying an '03 Sport for parts (and fun!) tomorrow, so everything may just work out great.
