Default 2019 XJL-Problem w/Mirrors Folding w/remote

Hi - new here to the forum - I have a 2019 XJL Portfolio. Had it for a few months now, everything working great. Not sure what I did but all of a sudden when trying to lock the car with my remote, the mirrors now do not fold in and the car does not fully lock. Now all that happens is that I hear the clicking like the car locks, it beeps a few times. The front two doors will appear locked (pulling on the handles) but the back two are not and when trying to open those, the alarm goes off. Also, assuming because of this, my Jaguar remote app will not work and lock the car. I tried manually to push the left, then right mirror buttons (then both at the same time) - this will fold in the mirrors, then did it again as I saw in a youtube to see if that makes a difference as a reset. It did not. Any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone else has experienced this!

Are all four doors, trunk and hood fully closed?

ilovemasonlee, what part of MD are you in? I am south of you in California, MD. If you want me to take a look at it, let me know. Odds are, I am thinking a hard reboot (ie, disconnect the battery, reconnect) will fix this if it is just a computer thing. I don't recall any setting in the instrument cluster that affects the mirrors in the way that you are seeing. Granted, you can try turning on and/or off the mirror down feature for when you back up to see if that happens to affect anything. BUt, I doubt it will.

I'm in Bel Air, MD area (my sister in law lives where you do) so I'm a ways away. Maybe I can ask my husband to disconnect the battery and reconnect? But yes, it's strange. Not sure what I did but all of a sudden when clicking the lock feature on my key, the mirrors will not fold in, the car clicks and beeps now (didn't do that unless I double clicked, and the back two doors can still be opened but the alarm goes off loudly. AND now my remote app will not allow me to lock the car.

ilovemasonlee, well, if you are ever down in my area and want someone to take a look at the car, let me know. I do a lot with vehcles and can atleast give you a "this is what is going on" so when you talk to the dealership, you know what to tell them. Start with the battery and go from there. You will need to reset the One Touch feature of the windows, but that is easy to redo. One window at a time, start with it up, press and hold the button to lower the window (once all the way down, continue holding for an additional 3 seconds-may hear a click). Now, roll the window up, again holding the switch for an additional 3 seconds (or you hear a click).. Repeat for the other windows. For the sunroof, press and hold the button for the length of time that the sunroof moves. Of note, start with the blinds all closed. This will program all the stops.

As you say the two rear door don’t lock, it’s possible the problem comes from there, with a mechanical problem preventing the lock to engage.

If this is the case, it’s normal the mirrors don’t fold and you get beeps: it’s to alert you that the locking process was not fully completed.

Thus non-folding mirrors would be a feature, not a bug.

Don't know if I'm missing something, but how far is the Jaguar dealership? It's nice to know what the problem is, but there's nothing wring with taking it in and using a loaner until fixed.

Just sayin'

Just a bit of closure on my problem in case it happens to anyone else: Went to Jag today and my back, passenger door lock mechanism is not working so that's why my mirrors wouldn't fold in upon locking and the two beep sound indicated right away to Jag service there was something not all the way locking/closing within the car. Thankfully since it's a fairly new model, it's under warranty. Thank you for all the help!
