Hi, some fun topic. I was wondering, what king of air freshener type would fit the XJ interior best. there are many vent mountied options, but XJ has specific round vents and freshener mounting mostly is quite long. So after installing it, it makes impossible to turn central part of the vent.
So please post your pictures with air freshener you use in your XJ.

 

A good air freshener doesn't need to be seen. One of these wafers under each seat will last a month. And they are inexpensive at about 50 cents each.

 

A super model wearing the perfume of your choice inserted into the seat of your choice - may cost a bit more than the wonder wafers mind

 

but it has a problem - models nails scratch the buttons.

Can't argue that. Model also has some knobs on it

 

In that scenario I thought the model would BE the knob twiddler.

 

And then he woke up - what a dream - alas reality beckoned ....

On a serious note I don't use air freshener of any kind. I don't allow eating / drinking / smoking in any of my cars. When I get them I do a seats out valet and clean all carpets with a carpet cleaner and also a steam mop. I treat all leather with Dr Leather both a clean and also post treat. I also try to clear out the AC system and associated drains, I check carpets and under the carpets for signs of damp before cleaning. In really exceptional cases I will use an odour neutraliser but I have been known to replace carpets or seats contaminated badly enough to require such treatment.
