Once you've had the soft close doors, you do realize that all that door slamming is rather uncivilized.

The driver's door failed on my 2016 XJL. See the following posts: Freezing door ajar latch
The dealer also tried to load an software update and fried the InControl display module. They wouldn't share a part number, but apparently an issue with early 2016s.

I have had my 2014 XJR for over 3 years and I mod and race it. Have had 2 failures. Water pump while under warranty and an O2 sensor on me.
It's my daily driver and is the most reliable car I ever had. Really surprised at the gas mileage. Way better than I expected much better than my old STR which had a smaller engine and far less power.
