Hi everyone, I've been having a problem with the blind spot monitor for a while now and I wanted to get some opinions from you. It suddenly stopped working, and since then I get the message "blind spot monitor not available" on the instrument cluster, and the orange dot on the left side mirror doesn't light up (not even when starting the car). The dot on the right side mirror, however, always stays on when starting. A few months ago, I ran a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and it said the right module had a problem. Then, more recently, I ran another DTC and it said the left module had a problem. Now, for the past few days, orange lights on the left side mirror start flickering every time I start the car. The weather has been very cold lately, and it's snowed quite a bit, so maybe that's related. I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this. I don't know if it's the left or right module; maybe it's a broken wire. Does anyone have any ideas? Any ideas? I've added a video and two photos of the DTCs. Thanks!

 

Do you have snow or ice on sides of rear bumber where the sensors are?

 

yes, dirt too, but normaly if dirt or snow blocks the sensor there will be a message that the is sensor blocked or it will ne temporarly off, i tried to clean but its very tricky… im more concered why the orange dot one the left side never blinked through the whole year and now it started to blink like in the video when i start the car, so you suggest that i try to clean the sensor better?
