well it's a very nice colour. In general, Jags look best in black, grey or green!

It’s between a 2009 to 2014 year model. It can’t be any newer as they received a facelift in 2015.

These cars are armoured and weigh about 3 tonnes, despite the aluminium bodyshell. Here in Crewe, Bentley Motors also produce armoured saloons for sale to the usual Russian oligarchs, and Middle East potentates. I'm surprised Jaguar aren't in the market as one never sees these people getting in to Jaguars.

This is Thatcher's last official car, a 2010 X350...

I think Boris should ride late 1930s 770 Mercedes, would fit his image perfectly.

Jag is just to classy for him.

The ultimate armored car. Good thing it's marketed to heads of state, oligarchs, and drug kingpins who have the money to fix it because it's an Audi RS7. There's a safe in the trunk to keep the cash to pay for the repairs.

Watch Jay Leno drive it through fire here:

My wife and I were admiring the vehicle (I don't believe that's "his Jaguar," but the government's vehicle); it reminded us of mine, which is a 2014 Indus Silver, XJL Portfolio; however I don't know for sure.

My 2014 XJL Portfolio AWD

Since you've had both the X350 and X351... Can you compare their ride and handling?
Thanks!

I've had both and the X351 wins hands down. Air suspension tech wasn't ready in time for the X350, in my opinion. Too much problems, not enough benefit. And I always felt the ride quality was very poor. My X351 on 20" wheels is more comfortable than my X350 on 18s.

Handling, ride quality, acceleration, braking, interior design and quality, fit and finish, everything is better on the X351...except maybe the exterior design but hey, apples and oranges and all that. But it really is an exceptional car.

Loved the handling of the "05" XJ8L; like butter! Once got it up to 134 mph & noticed tremor/shake; dealership couldn't replicate due to speed exceeded the legal speed limit (70 mph on freeways and highways around here). So got 4 wheel alignment. The 2014 XJL took me awhile to get used to. My "05" dealership would let me take home the 2010 - 2011 as a loaner. They tried to sell me one (they actually wanted to buy my "05" from me). No complaints about handling on the X351; however, my X350 I'd take back in a minute (with some of the bells, whistles and upgrades of the X351). Never had a problem, at all with the "05." Kept maintenance on track and those were the only times the vehicle was in the dealership.
