Color matched door panels
What year did Jaguar get cheap and stopped matching the lower door panels/cards with the seat? Or is this an RSport feature?
Do you like it more or less?

The lower door panel colour is matched to the lower fascia colour, and AFAIK that has always been a trim option rather than something across the whole model. There were changes to base colour availability through the years, and stitching colours varied to match the seats. The extended leather pack introduced some restrictions.
Luxury had black and cashew.
Premium Luxury had black, cashew and ivory.
Portfolio had black, cashew, ivory and tan.
Autobiography had black, cashew, ivory and tan as well.
XJR had black.
I think R-Sport was a 2016MY onward trim, and the 2016 brochure says that was offered with black or ivory.
As with all things JLR there was the option to pay extra to have SVO trim them however you wanted.

It also appears that the true Recaro looking seat buckets found in the older speed and sports and XJR were no longer installed in the RSport past 2015. The 2016 RSports on got the typical seats and the Recaro looking ones were just reserved for the XJR? Although I like the Recaro looking seats I don’t like how they aged the creases seem to get pulled tight as the leather shrinks and appears to look like it’s about to burst. The diamond pattern appears to become the Portfolio style after 2016?
