Default Convenience Mode (seat to key programming)

Does any-one know how to do this with the keyless entry fob. Got 2 keys and can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, it isn't like the old Jag's cause you can't put a key in and turn to postion I. Want the seat to move to position 1 when using one key and position 2 when using the other....help!

To the best of my knowledge and 4 years of ownership the X351 does not associate "memory" to a particular key fob.

i cant remember, but i believe you have to press and hold the unlock button on the key while simultaneously pressing the memory preset number you want to pair it to

it should explain it in the manual

Tells you how good it is in the manual but doesn't say how you program it, also tired that, but without the car running will see if it makes any difference then.

Looking in the service manual for a 2010 XJ, there is no mention of the keyfob being used for adjusting the seats based on which keyfob is near the car. So, it would appear that the car does not have a recognition of the keyfob to a set of seat positions.

If it is equipped with key fob recognition, then the fobs should be numbered 1 and 2. Mine is not, but it's five years old so can't speak to newer models.
