I installed the HVAC control panel today. Took 10 minutes. Very pleased that everything functions perfectly - massage, hazard lights, heated/cooled seats.

I ended up cancelling my original order from Ford's Car Radio store on Aliexpress since it never shipped and placed an order with Viknav.

I also ordered the Android main screen from them and will try to install that soon.

same here as well which btw latest verion is now V112 ("ZF-2015 Jaguar V112")

have only tested it briefly but I believe the AC panel only controls the seat temp and then displays the seating page on the main touchscreen above to control massage function correct?

Also wasn't totally clear what the original post was describing about issue with rear control, but I think mine seemed to work ok so far (MY16) will try to confirm more later

Be sure to post some pics. I'm so torn on if this AC panel looks cool or like junk. I hate the huge hazard button but I do like the idea of the black screen and having the car as the logo. I never use the CD tray, but the dealbreaker for me was still having to use the screen for the massage function.

still have to use the screen for massage, but there are some upsides - Latched recirculating does not reset after shutting off the car. Same with heated / cooled seats - it now remembers your last setting.

I think it looks not quite as sleek as Range Rover but also doesn't glaringly appear as aftermarket
does modernize the interior look a bit, though will take some getting used to losing the physical buttons and I do somewhat miss the matching blue button backlighting, but it is an easy swap and would obviously hold onto the original for if selling vehicle or wanted to switch back down the road

one thing I haven't figured out yet is how to run front defrost and air vents together at the same time, as when pressing defrost the vents are switched off and activating vents turns of the defrost
Have only tried around with it briefly so far though

Hi, is it possible to share the firmware V112? I think if you ask the seller for the firmware file, seller will share it with you. My firmware is V109. Although it can control the back seat from on the display, but it can not control climate used rear climate control panel.

Regards,
KIM

Hi guys,

The seller sent me V113 firmware, and I updated it. The previous firmware version was V108. V113 can rear seat climate control, which I was very satisfied about. However, when I select "CAR" menu, nothing comes up on the screen. It appears to be missing an image. Because, I guessed the location of SETTINGS icon, touched it, and was able to see. I guess I'll have to get V112, or wait for V114 to come out. I think it will resolve.

Thanks!
KIM

It's only FL(2016MY~) model /w 4-zone air conditioner system. The latest firmware is V113. But, it has been confirmed that the CAR menu does not work properly on some products when updating to V113. If possible, use V114 when it is released.

sent you a msg with what I received

some things I've noticed with usage of the unit/V112 so far:
-no way to run front defrost and AC vents at the same time?
-when running upper and lower vents together the upper vents seem much weaker/lower airflow than they should be- don't think I noticed this before with OEM panel
-with change of layout you will lose the direct buttons to turn off start/stop and access Nav screen; in AC panel need to press 'Car' menu then press Eco, and press Menu to bring up Home screen on main display then press Nav selection

not sure if future firmware updates would address any of these

mean auto-defog funcation? you can active it on setting menu.

I haven't measured it exactly, but I don't think it's underpowered. I've removed the OEM panel so it's hard to compare, now, but I'll compare it a try this weekend.

what mean "layout change"?

I sent PM with V113 firmware.

Regards,
KIM

I ran a test last weekend.

1. auto-defog not working. It was not available in V106, but it was available in V108. V113 is now unavailable again.
2. the red icon doesn't work. I think it worked in V108, but I don't remember correctly. (max wind with heated windscreen mode)
3. When comparing the front and rear vents at the same time, the front have a significantly weaker airflow. I was unable to find an stock panel for comparison.

I looked for other Jaguar/Landrover examples. There was also a comment from Range Rover that the airflow from the front vents was weakened. I suspect that the flaps were not all open. I guess we'll have to wait for the new firmware.

Thanks,
KIM

nbot sure what is meant by 'auto-defog not working'

my front Def works when pressed, just if I then select the upper/lower ac blower vents on it will turn the front Def off, and vice versa

how can you run both front Def and upper/lower AC vents together? the original panel allowed you to

anyone else have this unit and can or can't run front Def and AC vents together at the same time?

literally the biggest difference I've noticed in switching the panels

I'm def noticing the weak airflow from front vents also, so you think updated firmware could fix this?

only way to get normal airflow from front is AC on and temp set to 'LO'

any other temp or AC not activated seems like the front vents are mostly blocked even at max air setting
