Hello,
My car will crank but won't start. I am getting a fuel pump open circuit code. I am seeking assistance on the relays on this car as there is no identification charts that I can find. Also where the fuel filter is located.
Thanks ahead of time.

You can find shop manuals and probably electrical charts in the stickies at the top of this forum. Another thing you can do is to use the search box in the upper right corner of this page to look for prior threads dealing with your issue. Good luck and hunting.

The Fuel Pump Relay is located in the Rear Junction Box (RJB).
The Fuel Filter (arrowed in red) is on the Fuel Pump inlet and is not listed as a separate part. The Fuel Pump is in the Fuel Tank.

Is that the only filter for the fuel pump?
That's just a basic sieve sock.
I thought there was a real filter internal to the LP fuel pump too.
The sieve isn't really much of a filter.
If that's the case, it may be worth considering the addition of an in-line fuel filter somewhere between the tank & the HPFPs, and as serviceable/accessible as possible.

Yes it's weird but no DI car I can find has an external fuel filter anymore?? I can't figure out why either?
My wife's Lincoln MKS with the twin Turbo 3.5l does not and as Graham said the DI Jaguars don't either. It's just the standard sock type screen in the tank?
Interesting idea about adding an external filter too? Maybe be a good idea? I don't know.
Also post the codes and be sure and clear them before doing more troubleshooting. They really are the key to getting things repaired.
Car engine helps too? Miles? Previous troubles?
I think the LP fuel pump is bad as a guess? But we do need the codes.

Hey guys/girls,
Sorry I haven't had the chance to get the codes. But I did pull my fuel pump and under the tank flange there was a oval piece, about the size of a fuel filter. I called the dealer they said nope, it only has the strainer. I'm like B/S all the garbage in my tank. It would never lasted this long. My plans were to Crack that baby open an see. But I thought Landrover, and Googled Landrover fuel filter and the exact unit I have came up, and the fuel filter is the thing attached to the flange. I'm still going to open it to confirm.
Thanks

Yes please post a picture if you open the filter. I have only seen the sock type strainer in the tank but maybe there is a real filter in there too?

There is a sock filter too down below?
So a filter and a strainer in the tank?
Are you going to cut open the filter? Since it's not serviceable I wonder how packed they get with dirt?

Yes, there is a strainer and filter in the tank. I am going to cut it open because I want to know myself. I did notice extremely dirty gas coming of the filter when I removed it.

...well there's always a strainer.
And should always be a filter too.
I haven't seen a vehicle without a filter either in-tank or down stream, and the sieve at the pump intake.

I agree and was shocked that the dealership didn't know it has one.
