Default Hood rear seal replacement (C2D1494)

Has anyone replaced their hood/ bonnet to cowl seal? I am starting to get some engine compartment odors coming in through the cabin air plenum and am thinking to replace the seal. I see the part listed as C2D1494, but Jaguar is asking >$400 for the part. Is there a aftermarket/ generic/ Ford part available for less? Thanks.

Might check that the cam covers are not leaking oil?

Yes, the covers have been replaced. In fact the whole engine bay has been essentially redone (ie gaskets, hoses, pumps, chains, mounts, injectors…etc), but mild engine bay smells continue to enter the cabin when I turn on non-recirculating air.

The weatherstripping I mentioned is a little loose and the rubber isn’t very supple, so figure it was worth addressing after 15 years. Im just balking at the ~$400 cost of what appears to be regular weatherstripping. I now plan to remove it and clean and condition it to see if that helps. Otherwise I guess I will need to replace it.
