Hello All,

Today, I changed all of the interior lights to LEDs and also my license plate light bulbs.

My question is how do I remove the front housing where the sunroof switch etc is? I tried but didn't want to break the housing and I figured someone must have removed it before and knows how.

Get in between the plastic housing and the fabric of the ceiling with a flat blade item (popsicle stick, taped up flat blade screw driver, etc). Once under, pull straight down about 1/2" or a little more. You will hear it pop as the clips let go. Then you can work your way around to the front and undo the 2 clips there.

Worst case, wait till you get to my place and we can do them then.

 

Oh, on a side note, do not be alarmed when you see the LEDs glowing faintly at night. This is a problem I noticed when I converted my car over to LEDs.

 

I removed mine by using a putty knife inserted 1/2" on the rear sides and pivoting out carefully and then the front side edges

 

Thanks. I'll just wait to do those until we do the other stuff. It sure looks a lot better to me with the leds vs the halogen.

Side view mirror puddle lights will be next if they can be removed easily also.

 

I went out this morning and popped in out in a couple seconds after seeing a picture of it exposed so I could see where the tabs were.

So from reading, it looks like the front bumper has to come off to access the headlight bulbs?
