Default Issues

I've had a few nagging issue with my Jag. Nothing serious but wanted to get them taken care of before the warranty is up in June.

Airbag light comes on occasionally while driving
feels like driving over bricks once in awhile
ECO mode hasn't worked in a year
low battery every month or so requiring a trickle charge overnight
sticky/uncleanable area to right and left of radio screen
Sunroof rattle
and an oil change....

First 4 I think are all battery related.

The oil change was $150 last time I went. Now they jacked the price up to $269. I asked why and he gave me the bullshit answer that it was "all synthetic oil" and "how could we charge less?". How stupid do they think someone that would buy this type of car is? That was a very insulting comment. Then I had to call them 3x the first 2 left messages and no return call. I think he just answered the phone by mistake the 3rd time. Then he said something up in the sunroof area was the cause of the airbag issue. ok... And from the beginning he said I could probably get a loaner but that has yet to materialize. This dealership I think is known for poor service so I should have expected this. I really just want the car back and should have gone to a different dealer.

Oh last time I got it back and they "washed" it but it was worse than before they washed it since they did not dry it and it ended up with water spots everywhere.

Service does not appear to be Jag's strong point. I am seriously considering switching back to Cadillac for my next vehicle.

JagGate, if you don't mind a little bit of a drive, I have the pump to suck out the old oil and even have 2 filters sitting in my garage. Then all you have to get is the 7 quarts of oil. When you see how easy it is, you will start doing your own oil changes. With the pump that I have, you don't even have to drop to a knee now.

As for the hard ride, I get that occasionally too, but normally mine is saying something about a sensor in the ride system being bad. When the system sees a problem with a suspension sensor, it sets the suspension to dynamic, which causes the shocks to go to max firmness, hence the hard ride. The other thing I would look at is whether you are parking the car with it on an uneven surface. This can cause the rear air suspension to fill an air bag to a high pressure, leading to the harsh ride. But ,this will correct itself after a little bit of driving.

Thanks for the offer! I have enough OEM oil and 2 filters along with the oil evacuation unit to do 2 oil changes. I was going to start doing mine when the warranty was officially up. I would have done it this time had I known they jacked up the price.

I never got any lights at all for the suspension. It is not just a harsh ride it actually feels like you are driving on cobblestones. I always park on level surfaces.

We'll see what all they decide was wrong when I get the car back. I really hate taking it to the dealer for any reason at all.

Once warranty is up, say goodbye to dealers. Hell, I'm still under warranty and I won't go to them unless its an emergency I can't handle myself.

$269 for an oil change? Unbelievable.

JagGate, Come down to Annapolis and you can get grease on your seats, dealership garage door paint on your bumper, and the bad car wash all for the price of an oil change.

They say they will have it all day today as well but that it will be done today. We'll see what all gets fixed and what they pretend they did something on. I am going to go look at a new CT6 and maybe lease one if they give me a good trade on the Jag. I love the Jag but the service is really just horrible. Very sad that Jag corporate doesn't do better at ensuring an ownership experience commensurate with the price of the car like Caddy does.
