Lock the car when closing trunk?

Lock the car when closing trunk?
Hello!
My 2011 XJ does only come with a close button at my trunk.
Does anyone know if it's possible to add the feature to close and lock the car automatically? I find it a litte annoying that I have to wait for the trunk to close before having to press the lock button on my fob.
It would be nice if it was possible to just replace the button, but I guess the car is not programmed to have such a button.

If you lock the car, using either the door handle or remote, you can still open and close the trunk at will using the button or remote. Obviously, if using the button the remote needs to be in your pocket! Once the body of the car is locked, it remains locked.
When I exit the car I lock it using the door button, then open the trunk if needed.

I’m talking about locking, not closing. I have actually installed a module that closes it with the remote fob.

Since this is a "trunk" thread I will relate my experience from yesterday - for some entertainment.
I drove the XJL to my office and while there for a short time a bird decided to "decorate" the car in a glorious flyover. It happens a lot here in FL where we have large birds everywhere.
No big deal I took it to the car wash so I could spray it off.
So I am busy spraying it off and I get around to the back of the car.
I look away as I am spraying and then I hear it...
the sound of the trunk opening...uh oh...
and before I can react I am spraying the inside of the trunk.
Seems our trunk buttons are that sensitive. Just the spray pressure against the button was enough to trigger it.
Fortunately I was just rinsing with water so no real harm done.
Made me laugh a bit. Now I know.
