Navigation Map Updates extraoridinarily slow
Does anybody else have this issue? I started the latest map update at 5 AM and am currently at only 29.5% complete after 6 hours. They have always taken over 12 hours since I got my Jag in 2018. Nothing is open on my computer that doesn't need to be, the system is set not to sleep or that fouls it up, I turn the screen saver off as well. No VPN running ,nothing.
Is there anything that can be done to speed this up? This is ridiculous and why I only do it quarterly instead of every month. This has to be on Jag's end because my internet speed is 285.29 Mbps download, 22.85 upload.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

They're still selling me the updates. I got the 3 year subscription. My complimentary updates ended 2 years ago. But from the very beginning they were slower than frozen molasses. I was told Jag used TomTom for the navigation services. I wonder if I contact TomTom if they have a service I could use, tho it is probably proprietary to Jaguar.
Are you loading directly from the computer to the car? Usually you download to a USB, which can take an hour or 2 to create, then put the USB in the car to update, which usually pulls into the car in 30-45 min.
I download it to a UB stick. I WISH it took 2-3 hours, it takes a little over 2 days. Installing into the car itself only takes about 7-10 minutes. My download/upload speeds are fine...something is not right somewhere tho.
If you shoot me a link I am happy to see how long it takes for me to download, I have similar internet speed as you at home.
Take this for what it is. I am an IT director and have been in the industry for 27 years now and my advice would be to go somewhere that has free Wi-Fi that is quick like a library or somewhere of the like. (Be sure that when you connect if you are using Windows or Mac you tell it it is a public, Wi-Fi or safety reasons). And any event tried to download it from there. If it is still slow, I would attempt to download it using another laptop. If it's not slow then you know for whatever reason here or there it's your laptop or your home internet. If neither of those things make any difference, then I would say it's definitely on the service provider end.
