Default Need Jaguar emblem for trunk lid, anyone have a line on cheap parts?

My wife closed the garage door on my car and broke the Jag on the trunk lid. Where can I get one to replace it without paying full retail which I am sure is ridiculously priced.

Well, before buying in the aftermarket, I would at least find out what the official emblem costs at a dealer.

Your rear view camera is in the leaper on the trunk? Mine is by the license plate.

Not 100% sure on the size (don't have a tape measure handy to go and measure the leaper on our XJ), but perhaps the large (16cm) from here could do the trick?? It's £20 + p&p, so around $31 +p&p.

I have bought other things from Adamesh in the past, and they are a reputable company (in my experience).

I have got two of the Adamesh leapers on my X350 saloon, one on each front wing behind the wheel arch, They suply left and right leapers. We cannot fit the leaper on the hood here in the UK, so this is the next best thing. YOu need to keep it polished and waxed as they are real metal, not plastic.

@Fraser Mitchell, A company in Germany, famous for Jaguar tuning called "Arden" does "safe" bonnet leapers. These guys are compatible with the TÜV. Here is a link http://shop.arden.de/jaguar/xj/xj-35...en-leaper.html

That Arden leaper is interesting as it has a TUV certificate. I am not sure whether a TUV certificate makes it legal for the UK, though.

Anyway, I dont want to drill the bonnet, so am happy with my wing mounted leapers, (for now !!)

Any European auto legislation legal eagles here ?
