Hi.... My roof will not retract or close. It just stoped working with no warning. I have checked the switch and its fine, I hooked power up to the motor and the roof will rise and close. So motor is fine, swithch is fine, the fuse for the roof that is nxt to the roof motor is fine. Is there another fuse somewhere.Any ideas?

 

Have you tried to disconnect the positive on battery and touch the negative side for about 15 sec. I had a problem with my Jaguar computer would overload then i could not work my front windows or the roof. but after i touch positive to negative. it went back to normal.

 

Not sure if this is the best way of re-setting the computer...... what was your year... not sure if there is a "computer " in the 96xjs

You're really not in the right forum for a 1996 XJS, so try posting in the XJS forum. If it is a 1996 XJS, it will have the straight six AJ16 engine, or maybe the V12.
