Exclamation Rechrome original V1 quad exhaust tips

Recently purchased a 2011 XJL with the original version 1 quad exhaust tip finishers. They're flaking really bad and I'm thinking of getting it rechromed. I'm not able to find any exact replacements on the market and my local Jaguar dealerships (all 3 of them) told me that they were not able to order a new pair as this style/part was discontinued in 2012/2013 due to flaking chrome. Never had any chrome work done so if anyone knows a rough estimate on how much it'll cost it'd be much appreciated.

I'm In Brooklyn, NY so if y'all got any shop recommendations I'm all ears. Thanks in advance!

Sorry for not helping much but thanks for posting as I have never seen that style of quad pipes before?
There are several used sets currently on EBay that might work? Of course they will probably rust out like yours have done.

I have this style. They are SS so no chrome to flake off.

Would these possibly replace the ones you can't get anymore? Not sure if they will swap or not? Looks close.

Its the original version 1 of the quad exhaust finishers available on the early model years, I've only seen very few cars equipped with it. It was replaced by part number C2D25247 which is a different design that looks thinner. I want a more elegant look for this car so quad circle exhaust would be a bit too sporty for my liking. But since you brought up stainless I'm considering a high polish on these exhaust tip finishers as an alternative so thank you for bringing that up.

I don't have any recommendations in Brooklyn, but you'll probably find it to be more cost prohibitive to chrome plate after blasting. Powder coating is accessible with 2 pieces. Chrome plating is not based on that process.

Google "chrome restoration near me" for shops that do electroplated chrome, not PVD chrome.

@XJsss Yours appear to be the updated version without the flaking chrome issue. I believe that's part #C2D25247 that replaced the model I have on my car.

I bought mine in early 2013 and I believe they were stainless steel and not chromed

I had the original gen-1 version on the 2011 SuperSport. They were awesome pieces when new, but like yours, flaked badly. I too sought to re-chrome the originals as I liked them so much, but was told by a very reputable chroming shop that the base metal was garbage and would not survive the initial de-chroming prep process in order to re-chrome. Due to the advice they were replaced with the new part, under warranty. The new version is not nearly as nice a design but have been corrosion-free. To this day I miss the look of those originals.

Thanks! I'll send them an email, I was actually looking at their chrome side mirror caps for $125 to replace my current pitted and fading ones

oof that's so unfortunate to hear. these are in my opinion the best looking exhaust finishers for this car. Wondering if spray/powder coat chrome would hold up on these, would be shame to replace these. What rims are those by the way? Don't think i've ever seen them before, reminds of me of mid 90s Mercedes S class rims but with a modern update.

The wheels are the optional Jaguar oem Amirante wheel. Very classy look IMHO.
