my gas cap is missing!! is there a universal gas cap that will fit my car, that you know of? Or must I just go ahead and order an original from the dealer?

Don't buy anything except the OEM Jaguar cap. Otherwise, you could get a Check Engine Light (CEL). It's part of the emissions system.

I suggest that you contact the Forum sponsors that sell OEM parts, such as SNG Barratt. Mention that you're a Forum member and ask for the discount. Compare their delivered price to your local Jaguar dealer and other internet sellers . Just Google "OEM Jaguar parts".
