Default Is this Service manual worth wile?

Hi looking for the root cause of my boot light not working. Was wondering if anyone tries this manual, is it helpful? Alldata

You really need a wiring diagram to diagnose that sort of issue rather than a service manual.

The attached PDF is the wiring diagram for the luggage compartment lamp on a 2013 XJ. The circuit doesn't look too complicated so you may be able to trace it from the Central Junction Box (see graphic).

C3BP01F pin 4 from the CJB then connector C33-E pin 16.

I have a manual and other information but it's really huge about 300 MB.
I also have the wiring diagrams.
Contact me and I can upload somewhere for you.

Be aware the manual is about 8700 pages!
So my only complaint is the volume of stuff it contains!

I use the Alldatadiy quite a bit and if I can't find the information there use the full shop manual.

Look at the sticky - the mods have just uploaded a manual and other useful information.

just checked all the fuses in boot & compartment and tested micro switch. and still no discovery of why ugh

thanks i looked through it.. i can find a reason why the trunk light does not work. possibly a relay of some kind. I`m beat,,, i will have to pay to locate the issue.

sorry to say I never figured it out. i get an alert on the dash when trunk is open. but no light power.. so i did a work around, until i can have it checked at the dealer. i used a tilt switch and a fuse to the battery. work great. but i will someday find the reason the light is not working as it should.
