Default Wheels Upgrade

Happy New Year!

I finally decided to upgrade the wheels on my 2016 XJL. I decided to go with these wheels and have been patiently waiting for them to come back in stock. I know a lot of people here don't like to run big wheels, but I love the way they look and I'm ok with sacrificing some ride quality.

I'm not very familiar with sizing and offsets so I wanted to see what people that are running 22" wheels recommend. My current wheels are 19" stock wheels which I believe are x9 in the front and x10 in the back. Audio City have them 22x9 and 22s10.5 for the rear. Will those fit?

I messaged Car ID, but they only have them in 22x9 and 35+ offset. Does 35+ offset indicate that the wheels will be pushing out outside the wheel well?

I haven't decided on tire size so I would appreciate any recommendations. I'll most likely either get Michelin Pilots or Pirellis.

Thanks.

After speaking with Axe wheels, they told me they're not planning on making any more wheels for staggered setups.

What would happen if I went with 22x9 for front and back?

Hey Randy,

What do you hate about it? Is the ride too rough?

Since I can't find the wheels I like in 22, I might go with 20s. I'm curious what width and offsets you're planning on going with for 20s.

Ride to roughly, not much tire, rebuilt the entire front end this year.doing upper control arms tomorrow. Far a 20” tire specs. Not sure the tire place I go to will handle that matching original sizes.

Randy see my post #7 for 29" tire sixes. Many of us have talked about tires on other threads, but, IMHO Michelin Pilot Sport 4s is the finest tire out there.

XJsss,

Thanks for the OEM specs. I think I'm going to go with these wheels in 20s, unless I have a change of heart and go with 21s

Wish me luck. Every wheel I've found so far has been out of stock.

Quick question.

I'm about to place the order to get the wheels below with the recommended specs (thanks @XJsss), but the only potential issue is that the rear wheel only comes in 20x10.5" instead of 20x10" , is that going to be a big deal? I've seen people with larger wheels rocking 10.5 in the rear so I wanted to verify if this will cause issue or will require me to get a different size of tires.

Also, the place installing the wheels told me these wheels would have 35 and 45 offset. Is this fine? I just want to make sure my wheels line up with my fenders and don't stick out / in.

Wheels: Gianelle Verdi
Size: 20x9 Front, 20x10 rear
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Front size: 245/40ZR20
Rear size: 275/35ZR20

Check the Forum Marketplace for wheels. I've seen Vossen wheels listed there, but don't know if they're still available. Just make sure they fit the X351.
