I have enjoyed my 2015 XF and decided to upgrade to a 2016 XJ after parting with my 2012 BMW 750.

I am trading in my XF after 10 months for a Storm Grey SWB XJ R-Sport with a heated windshield, comfort pack (14 way seats etc), Illumination pack, Park Assist Pack, in control Protect and Connect, Adaptive Cruise Control

In a separate post I asked about snow tires. I have ordered wheels with Hakkipaletta R2 snows.

we had 52 cms of snow yesterday . we need snow tires in Ottawa.

I pick up the new car this Saturday.

Today is Saturday! We need pictures!!

 

Picked up the car today. We had 51 cms of snow earlier this week and today we are having pouring rain - turning to ice tomorrow - pictures will be delayed. Not the best weather to pick up a new car.

The 2016 XJ is lovely. I am very impressed. The small 3 litre engine pulls very strongly - I don't miss the big V8 from my BMW 750.

The new inconnect pro is awesome - and a steep learning curve. The dealer struggled - this is the first car they have delivered with the system. I finally got it up and running and rejoiced in starting my car from in the house.

The 825w meridian system is lovely - very pleased.

Love the new digital dash that can display the map etc.

Still trying to figure out all the tech issues.

Hopefully the sun will be out and I get the car washed for pictures.
