Small project success…new spark plugs!
Trying to break the month-long silence here in X305land ;-)
Swapped out the plugs this weekend, I swear the hardest part is getting the plug boots on with a positive connection. Lots of “did I just imagine that snapping in?”. Don’t think it’s misfiring, so I’m counting it as a job well done. I do officially hate the throttle quadrant and it’s blocking of plug 5 on both banks.
I called my dad (who taught me everything about being shadetree mechanic) on plug #9, though, to announce breaking our record for most number of spark plugs changed at once, and we got a good laugh out of it.
The previous owner used those gimmicky 4-tip Bosch plugs from the early 2000s. Fingers crossed that having a correctly gapped ordinary plug will get me out of single digit city fuel economy numbers.

" single digit city fuel economy numbers "
Causes :
Not going into closed loop ? engine coolant temp sensor not reading high enough coolant temp
There are others that others can add ...................................
Engine codes ?
Your V - 12 starts on page 193 with the 2 different ECU manufactures ( early M or later ND / Nippon Denso )

The biggest problem is a cold winter and a very short commute, but it was still pulling pretty low in the summer with the AC on. Luckily (?) my commute just got long enough to properly warm ‘er up.
The instrument cluster pickup is a not so accurate old school temp " bulb " as a single wire device
The engine regulation temp " sensor " is a very accurate 2 wire solid state device called a thermistor , temp variable resistor
So the instrument cluster can read good but the engine regulation sensor can ( speculating at this point ) be bad , A data reader should be able to see the 2 wire sensor temp values since it is reading the ECU

Fuse # 14 / 10 amp right engine bay fuse box
There is a connector between the fuse and the sensors for this single heating wire subject to a TSB for corrosion
Papa Indy 61 pin position 12 wire color White / Green
Pic coming
