HELP!!! I keep getting a Gearbox fault light on the dash. I know I need a tune up and plan to get in the next few days. I already have the plugs and also need inspection. The check engine light came on and they said at the AutoZone after checking the codes that I had a misfire on cylinder 3 and 7 and needed a tune up. Then I started getting the Restricted performance light. Someone said that I need to use the emergency brake each time, I put the car in park, to get the sequence back, but I don't want to damage the car driving it with the gearbox fault. Can anyone give me any advice?

You need to get those sorted out, get your battery load tested and have a trans shop check the fluid level in the trans.
Kim,
It is always helpful to write down the exact codes that were scanned and report them here to help narrow down the diagnosis. You can see the definitions of each Diagnostic Fault Code along with a list of the most likely causes of each fault code in the manual at this link:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...03388427,d.cWw
Also, be aware that the generic OBDII scanners used by AutoZone and other parts stores and most mechanics can only read the P-prefix codes, which have to do with the Powertrain. Your Jaguar may also have C (Chassis), B (Body) and/or U (Undefined, mostly network-related) codes stored. To read those codes requires a dealer-level system or high end third-party system capable of reading proprietary Jaguar codes.
As abonano stated, the ignition coils are strong suspects. I've been using the Airtex/Wells 5C1420 coils from Rock Auto, currently $32.79 each. The original coils were made by Denso, but Airtex is a Ford original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and their coils are marked FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company).
It will really help to know the exact codes that were scanned, if possible.
Cheers,
Don
