Default 2005 Super V8 wont start

Greetings,

The battery was taken out of my uncles 2005 XJ Super V8 to test in another vehicle. It didn't work in that vehicle so we put it back. Now the car just makes a click and wont start. All sorts of lights illuminate and there are many warning messages on the display. We looked in the manual for what you need to do when the battery is replaced and did the e-brake and window thing which both worked but the car still wont start. It just makes one click and beeps. Anyone have any idea what is wrong with it?

Thank You

Is it possible that while the battery was in the other vehicle for testing its charge was run down? Jaguars are sensitive to low battery voltage. You might try recharging the battery to see if that helps.

Cheers,

Don
