Car will not go pass 2000 rpm after an hour drive but run fine when cold start in morning. But if I accelerate with full throttle the car jerks strongly this is when the car won't go pass 2000 rpm. No code is showing. Had throttle body and fuel injectors cleaned also replaced fuel filter. The car have 80K mile. But if I pull over and shut down engine then re-start the car run fine. Anybody ever experienced this?? Thanks is advance.

What's the voltage across the battery terminals with the ignition in the OFF position for more than ten minutes?

When you say no code is showing, is that from SDD/IDS or "nothing in the message center"?
Sounds like you have a TPS issue but to be sure you need to have the codes read by SDD/IDS

no code on IDS and nothing in the message center mate. Can TPS be clean or just have to replace it,Originally Posted by 34by151

Tps is cheep and not a big job to do. One thing is guaranteed it will fail at some point I would do it if you are over 100,000km's just as a precaution.
While talking precautions, do the earths behind the headlamps as well. These are the same as they will give you issues at some point.
Finally it also looks like a blocked cat issue. If you still have the original one its worth doing as well.
Ps blocked cats wont give you a code till well after the engine issues occur
First stage feels/seems like pinging on acceleration
Second Stage major loss of power
Third stage codes

If it's a block cat how come when the car won't go above 2000rpm I pull over shut down engine for 10 seconds. After starting its all gone car run normal. Probably the Tps!!Originally Posted by 34by151

Both will give you codes however the tps code clears when you restart the engine provided its not a failed tps.
To explain the tps has 2 restive sensors (tracks) in parallel. If the ecu gets different readings or missing reading on one it will go into limp mode.
This can occur on a dead spot on the tps tracks.
Shutdown, and restart will clear it provided the throttle is not in the dead spot when you restart.
If it is you will get codes and an engine light
This will clear with a shutdown/key out provided the throttle is not in the dead spot when you restart.
Id suggest you read the codes while the fault is occurring. Ie dont shutdown

As you have suggested today I had a chance to put on IDS while engine running.Originally Posted by 34by151

What I got was all kind of codes :-(
P0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire detected
P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected
P0300 - Random misfire detected
P1313 - Misfire rate catalyst damage bank 1
Any suggestion mate.
Many Thanks

First step is to clear the codes
Swap the coils from 1,3 and 5 to other cylinders
If the codes come back on the new cylinders change out the coils
If they come back on the same ones change the plugs
No I prefer to change the coils only as they fail but change plugs all at once.
How you do it is up to you
The P1313 is a response to the o2 being off on 1,3,and 5 it will go away when you sort out the plugs/coils
Once that is sorted Id look at replacing the cats as you are well overdue at 80K Miles

I went ahead and replaced 3 coil since I bought them while back. I took out all 3 plugs and they seems to be in good shape.
Problem came back. So I came to notice on my last code reading there was also P0231 "Fuel pump secondary circuit low."
I googled and found some forum about fuel pump issue so I decided to replaced a pump from ali express which cost $15 but don't know how long it will last and problem solved.
Thank you again for helping out.
