2006 VDP: factory installed Sirius doesn't go above channel 184. Help!

2006 VDP: factory installed Sirius doesn't go above channel 184. Help!
Hi.
I am new to this forum - quite cool! I live in the US and just bought a pre-owned 2006 XJ VDP. It has a factory installed Sirius Radio (in spot where ashtray would have been) that sits below the NAV/Phone touchscreen. The Sirius unit only goes to channel 184 and I have had Sirius ping the unit to make sure I am not missing channels.
Is it possible units in 2006 were limited to under 200 channels and today's units can recieve a signal containing 300 channels?? Unless I can figure out a work-around, I would be able to listen to PGATour radio!! Yikes!
Any advice?
