Best part about it is that it gave me the ability to enable/disable daytime lights from the nav screen. That's a useful feature when heading on a road trip. The Jag logo screen color changed from green, like the rest of my instruments, to black. It's a bit off-putting at first but I've gotten used to it. Don't know when XJ background lighting changed from green to black so perhaps this is a non-issue for many. Would I buy the update again if I had a do-over? Probably. Is it worth $200? Probably not.
Getting ready to upgrade mine to a 2012 disk and had a question. You say your 2010 disk changed not only the logo to black but the instruments? Do you mean lighting on buttons around the nav/media unit?

Thanks,
Brian

Can I purchase a discounted copy from someone? I definitely need to update my version in my 2005 S-Type.

Let me know about the cost on the group buy. I would most likely be interested.

Sincerely,
Mike A.

Is the 2011-2012 still the latest for my 04 xj8? If you, how much? I did buy the 09-10 from you.

Yes. No updates after 2012. Go for a JagDroid conversion.

This is what they are referring to.
https://www.jagdroid.org/

There is also a recent full HU replacement that is being discussed that would utilize AndroidAuto.

I would be interested in the Jagdroid, but it looks very complex and I think beyond my confidence to install. I could get a audio specialist to do the job but I would like to hear from a forum member who has had installed one. Is there anyone out there?

Thanks Chris, It looks like it is just a case of inserting the disc. Are the maps like the modern GPS's and not the very early Jaguar ones ? ie very basic.

No fancy 3D views, more like a line drawing just like my older one.
Whilst the CD can upgrade the whole operating system, it didn't when I upgraded from R18_V7.
