Adaptive Cruise Control module, 2004 XJR
No cruise yellow warning light stays on, module failure confirmed by Jaguar shop on my 2004 XJR. Has anyone repaired the module that sits behind the left front bumper? I gently tried to remove the plastic front cover held in by 4 clips. Its still tightly held in position after 15 years. Next attempt will be to use a heat gun to see it that will help. Hope to find some loose soldier joints that may have led to failure.
I believe the adaptive cruise control was only on the R model and perhaps the super V8?
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did you have any luck trying to fix your ACC? I'm in the same boat and found a thread where a guy took his apart and found some bad terminals. I'm hoping to disassemble mine and fix it, but not sure what I'm in for.
Yeah, it's a real pain. I tried to open mine up but it's sealed so tight, I nearly destroyed it trying.
For now, I've pulled the ACC fuse and I'll have to live with the "cruise not available" light until I can find a used unit.
Time to set up an eBay alert.

One of the first things I did when purchasing this car was sealing the ACC and performed the water intrusion TSB - all areas and added some sealant around the rubber cover that goes in front of the PCM.
So far, so good!!
