This just started when it got hot out.

Start teh car in the morning after it has been in the garage all night and no airbag light.

Get in after work after it has been sitting in the sun all day and blink blink ... blink blink blink... does this a few times then steady on.

Anybody have any ideas where to start ?

 

Have a look under the passenger seat, disconnect the connectors, clean and check then replace and try again.

Flash Code 23 = Passenger Seat Side AirBag fault.

For more specific detail, it needs a scantool that can read Body (Bxxxx) DTC codes and PID (Parameter Identification) codes.

Had that code on mine and found problems with one of the small 4 pin connectors. Contact cleaner helped resolve the problem. Eventually, I did replace the connector when the problem reoccured.

Thanks all, I'll give it a shot over the weekend .

 

Come back if you still have issues. My xk8 had a drive side airbag fault that also was only occuring whe it warmed up. I believe i found out why, and i have pics if you need them. The part needing attention is under the leather skin, however.

 

Did this get fixed, corrected, rigged, wrecked, stolen, traded....?

 

actually it went away after I simply move the seat a little further forward, guess it was the connector but never got around to fishing for it.
