I have the 12 speaker alpine system in my current 2005 xj. Can you take it out of a 350 and put the radio, speakers, and amp into a 358 that is like 3 years newer that only has a 8 speaker 140 system... I suppose if you did you would have to cut some holes for the extra speakers. No doubt, this has likely come up many times, so if somebody would forgive my ignorance, and enlighten me I would appreciate it. I don't think i have ever dreaded the day i might have to leave the awesome system in my current VDP because i got a NEWER Jag... I wont go to all that trouble I just was curious, if i can get some oem parts from eBay or will i likely need more help. I wouldn't really take the speakers out I just know they work on jags and there is nothing worse than frying an electrical system because you ddddidnt know what you are doing.

only way to know is find diagrams of both electronic systems online or just pull doors, etc. and compare them. Doubtful anyone has done this job before.
