Default Anyone know where to get the B pillar cover?

Either I am a lard ***, or the recess seat feature is making me rub against the b-pillar when I get in and out, but the upholstery on my B pillar is falling apart quickly.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement, and how to remove/replace this part?

I was taught the proper way to enter a car is to sit down on the seat with both legs outside the car and then twist around bringing both legs inside the car. Most people put one leg inside the car and slide onto the seat. This is hard on your back and can cause the issue you describe. Attached is the parts list for it (#3), but I don't know the colour you need.

Thanks much!

I'm thinking of just not using the auto-recess feature. It's more trouble than it's worth, and I'm not at the age where I need it yet.

How do I find out what color I need? Is there a color chart?

Mine was permanently switched on in my X308 but I turned it off after a few weeks in the X350.

The rear of the seat seems to sink lower that the front and I felt like a beached whale trying to get out of it.

You can get some idea of colour schemes here:

I turned the auto entry off as I found it put the seat so far back I was climbing out of a hole.

How do you turn it off? - I would love that - I did not know you could turn it off. You get so fare back that it is a whole hike to get out of the car it is not convenient at all -not for me at least

I think you just set the switch on the steering column to something other than "auto" and it should stop it, right?

My interior is charcoal, but the B pillar itself is not charcoal/black. I wonder what color it is.

I also wonder if it's just cheaper/easier to have a shop reupholster it.

The "upper" part of the B pillar upholstery extends almost to the floor. Maybe it wasn't me who did the damage (I've only had the car for 3 months), but I don't doubt it.

What colour does it look like? Could it be gray?

Judging by the attached, it is Nimbus Grey.
