Brembo calipers, silver, red or?
For several years I have gone back and forth on whether to paint the Brembo calipers on the black Super V8. They are painted silver like many highline cars and I do find it a classy look. However I like the look of Brembos painted other colors as well especially red.
What has kept me from doing it is a concern it will look cheesy, gaudy, aftermarket, etc and not suit the style of the car.
I will be replacing front pads and rotors next week and could take this opportunity to paint the calipers.
Looking for thoughts and feedback. Thank you!

I have similar "issues" sometimes...... I fitted a head up display on my X308 XJR, which really didn't suit it, but I thought it was cool so I know the feeling... it's good to be different.
I'm not sure what kind of wheels the Super V8 has.... how much of the caliper can you actually see ? On my Portfolio with the Callistos the front brake calipers are very obvious, and to be honest, I think they're even a bit showy as they are, ie painted grey with Jaguar badges on them as stock, so I'm not sure if red would work. I guess it's easily reversible so you could try it one one side first ? then if you like it, continue to paint the other side, and if you don't repaint the red side back to grey again

I currently have Caravela wheels with 20 spokes so the calipers are not as visible as I would prefer, the original Custom would probably have been better although the way they are now could be better by reducing the amount of visible caliper, they may not be as garish. Jaguar actually used red Brembo calipers on the XKR. Porches also have red calipers. But this is a completely different car, hence my hesitation
Here are pics of my current wheels and calipers.

I have a black XJR.
I want to do red calipers with the brembo logos and then clear over them. After all I'm not lying lol. They would look similar to an aftermarket BBK.
Take care,
George

I will post pics when I get a chance. Cost depends on what materials/tools you may need you don't already have. Ceramic caliper paint was $7, brake cleaner $3 a can and masking tape.
